
Daniel Casasanto is a senior scientific staff member at the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics and a fellow of the Donders Institute for Brain, Cognition and Behaviour, in Nijmegen. He received his PhD from the department of Brain & Cognitive Sciences at MIT in 2005, and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Stanford University in 2008, on a National Research Service Award. His research integrates methods from cognitive and developmental psychology, psycholinguistics, and cognitive neuroscience to explore how language, culture, and bodily experiences shape the mind. Casasanto serves a consultant editor for the Journal of Experimental Psychology: General, and is a founding editor of the interdisciplinary journal Language & Cognition.
